Going back to school hasn’t really been that difficult. I chose a subject that wasn’t too hard, I’m getting my degree in Office Administration. It’s the job that I’ve been doing for the past 25 years. There are some classes that I find irritating. Mostly because they are stupid easy. Typing classes when I’ve been typing at 55 wpm for decades. Classes in Excel when I’ve been working in the program for most of my professional life. Interpersonal communication classes teaching me the skills that I’ve learned over a lifetime. I do the work on my Mondays and when it’s slow at my job. I say in my essays that I want to be an office manager at the end of this. I’m not really sure what I want to do at the conclusion of getting my associates. If I had my way, I’d probably just stay home and take care of Matt, the cats and do the slow homesteading like we had planned, make my crafts and sell them at vendor shows and online for a little bit of cash. But alas, we really can’t afford that at the moment. Maybe when we are out of debt that can be an option. But as of now, I’ll do what I can to make sure that we can pay the bills, save for retirement and get out of debt. If that means going back to school and having a good office manager job, that is what I will do.
